Every leather floor and every leather wall — suede and smooth leather alike — comes with cleaning and care instructions in several languages.
The photographs below show a soiled suede leather floor in an English pub and bar lounge, taken at a time when smoking at the bar was still permitted. The first two images show the dirt left by outdoor shoes, ash, and the like before cleaning; the deep clean was carried out after about a year of use. Images 3 and 4 were taken during cleaning, image 5 shows the result.
